How points are earned

A settled duel pays 10 to whoever issued the challenge and 5 to whoever accepted, win or lose. A duel nobody accepts is worth nothing. That base is then multiplied three ways.

• Your stake

  Square root of the stake, capped at 8x. Playing bigger earns more without letting the largest wallet buy the whole board.

• Your Duelist

  A locked Duelist multiplies you: common 1.5x, rare 2x, epic 3x, legendary 5x. The best one you hold, not the sum, and it must be locked.

• Fresh opponents

  Full value against someone new. A rematch the same day is worth less, and that decay heals about one step a day, so a weekly rivalry always pays in full.

Stake and Duelist together are capped at 12x. The opponent rule is applied afterwards and is never capped, so no stake or rarity can out-run it. Referral rewards are separate again: they come from their own slice of the drop and are capped at what you earned playing, so bringing people multiplies your own effort rather than replacing it.

Before the season ends

• Sign in with X to count. Allocation is worked out from duels where both players are linked to an X account. Play without linking and the points still show here, but they will not be counted.
• The final list is reviewed by hand. Standings are published at the end of the season along with the data they were computed from. Obvious manipulation is excluded before publication.
• Nobody knows what a point is worth yet, including us. The season pays out in $DUEL, but the rate is set after the season ends, once the real turnout and the real distribution are known. Anyone quoting you a number today is guessing. What a point buys is your SHARE, and that is the column on the board.
• Rank does not reset. Season points decide the allocation; your rank is lifetime and stays with you.
